效力於馬林魚的旅美左投陳偉殷，上一場比賽挨了生涯單場最多的4轟，今天雖然沒有挨轟，但投2.1局是生涯單場最短投球局數，失6分為本季單場最多，於球隊3：6落後時退場。
本戰陳偉殷於主場迎戰洛磯，挑戰生涯第51勝，不料3局上被洛磯掌握節奏，單局被敲5支安打，另有2次保送，丟掉6分，於球隊3分落後時退場。
前2局洛磯先發投手恰特伍德（Tyler Chatwood）狀況不佳，馬林魚掌握契機，靠著歐蘇納（Marcell Ozuna）1局下的高飛犧牲打，及葉力奇（Christian Yelich）2局下帶有2分打點的安打，取得3：0領先。
不料3局下陳偉殷出現亂流，在1人出局後被敲三壘安打，隨後岡薩雷茲（Carlos Gonzalez）擊出安打送回首分；下一棒敲出二壘安打上壘，之後陳偉殷對史托瑞（Trevor Story）投出觸身球，形成滿壘。
此時，洛磯拉奔（Ryan Raburn）把握機會，擊出帶有1分打點的安打，下一棒雷諾茲（Mark Reynolds）獲得保送，擠回追平分；之後杭德利（Nick Hundley）敲出帶有3分打點的安打，助隊取得6：3超前，陳偉殷宣告退場。
馬林魚接替登板的後援投手麥高文（Dustin McGowan），製造對方擊出滾地球及平飛球出局，順利抓下2出局，沒讓失分擴大。馬林魚包爾（Justin Bour）則在3局下擊出兩分全壘打，將差距縮短至5：6。
